Frequently Asked Questions
Why do I need a
fitness trainer?
It has been said the only thing worse that not exercising, is wasting time when you exercise.
A credentialed, certified, experienced and knowledgeable
fitness trainer can help you achieve maximum results in minimum time. With exercise
science changing frequently, the right trainer will keep abreast of new
protocols so you don’t have to. The right trainer will customize a safe, realistic
and effective program to your goals, access to equipment, schedule, health issues and current experience level. Everyone
can benefit from a well designed program, as Sean works with a variety of people:
those trying to lose a little weight or feel better, athletes trying to improve
their performance, competitive bodybuilders, fitness models, individuals with
chronic illnesses and more. Even just one meeting to get baseline measurements
and pointed in the right direction can be one of the best investments you can
make in your health.
I have a chronic
health issue, can you still work with me?
Yes. In many case we can work with your doctor and handle
the exercise prescription. Sean holds many certifications and professional licenses
that allow him to work with a variety of health issues such as orthopedic
conditions, asthma, diabetes (both type 1 and 2), COPD, arthritis and more.
Sean is also certified in post-rehab training for the low-back and knees. Completion
of the health history will allow us to target a realistic program specific to
your needs.
We offer three main fitness programs for your convenience:
1. On-line training. Whether you like to stay in the comfort of your own home or live across the country, distance training packages are affordable and can point you in the right direction fast.
2. Private studio sessions. Located in the southeast, clients can visit Sean for a complete, full-body workout in his private, fully-equipped gym.
3. In your
home. Save on gas and time and have Sean come to your home. Sean can show you
how to use your existing equipment or bring equipment to provide you with a
safe, effective, full body workout. This offer is only limited to residents
within Bakersfield city limits. Please see the Services page on this website for more information and pricing.
How often do I
have to meet with Sean?
As much as you want. Sean has some clients that he works
with weekly and has done so for years. Others meet once or twice per week for a
few weeks until they feel comfortable enough to do it on their own. Still
others simply meet with Sean every 4-6 weeks to get assessed on body fat,
measures, nutrition, and receive a new program. They then take it to their own
gym or home and work on their own until the next assessment session with Sean.
